For many of my blog subscribers, summer is almost over. I hope summer met your expectations spending quality time doing what you love. My trip to Israel with my daughter was one of the most amazing experiences. Israel opened my eyes to another part of the world, and meet wonderful new friends. I will share more about my journey to Israel in future blogs.
You still have an opportunity to enjoy warm days during September. For other’s living in parts of the world warm days last longer, lucky you.
September is a month to refresh, renew and rewind. Refresh projects for 2017, renew ideas for 2018 and revisit plans for next summer. I will write a travel book about Israel. Writing about my journey while it’s still fresh in my mind. Renew my goals for 2018. Revisit my gratitude journal. Reminding myself that there was a lot to be grateful for this summer.
September is “Healthy Aging Month.” Healthy Aging Magazine’s article “10 Tips to Celebrate” lists valuable tips to live healthy while aging. www.healthyaging.net.
“Tip # 1 Do not act your age or at least what you think your current age should act like. What was your best year so far? 28,40? Now? Picture yourself at that age and be it. Some people may say this is denial, but we say it’s positive thinking and goes a long way toward feeling better about yourself. (Tip: Don’t keep looking in the mirror, just FEEL IT!).”
Sounds like a good tip don’t you think?
Happy September!
Blessings,
Dr. Barbara
